Wow! November has really flown by. Cannot believe it’s only a few more weeks until Christmas! November has been a very eventful month for me with lots of events to attend and new opportunities coming my way. My blog and Instagram feed is a way to showcase my style and creativity and I am so thankful to you all for following me and being genuinely interested in what i have to say. Its truly so much fun for me to create posts and beautiful imagery so thankyou! I havn’t done a monthly round up before, so please let me know what you think and if its something you would like to see every month. So anyway here’s a roundup of my current favourites this month, Enjoy!
Vintage Chanel
I found this beautiful gem on Farfetch after trawling the web for a reputable Chanel vintage reseller. I had so many concerns about buying my first Vintage bag online. But the team at Farfetch were more than happy to answer all of my questions and I am now so happy I took the plunge and with the bag i finally settled on.
So this is my new baby, a beautiful Chanel Square Mini made in the most luxurious and softest lambskin. With, can you believe it 24k gold plated hardware! It’s in such beautiful condition and has been so well looked after. I’ve always heard that vintage Chanel can be even more stunning than the new and now I definately believe that it’s true! If you have been thinking about purchasing vintage, read on for a few shopping tips.
I’m no expert but here’s my 3 top tips for buying Vintage Chanel.
1. Do your research…
Have a clear idea of the going rate for different styles and sizes. Vintage Chanel bags from the 90’s tend to go from $1200nzd up depending on condition and colour. Research lots of vintage stores overseas and on eBay so you get a good idea of what’s available and you will soon know if you are paying too much for a piece or if the price is too low you’ll know it’s probably not going to be authentic.
2. Note what the bag comes with…
All Chanel bags come with the authenticity card and a hologram sticker inside the bag and both numbers should match. Fake bags sometimes come with hologram stickers and authenticity cards too but usually they look shabby and they won’t show photographs of the hologram sticker. I’ve also heard that they will often use the same serial number for counterfeit bags so if you google the serial number other bags with the same number will also pop up. All Chanel serial codes are unique so there will never be a bag with the same number. Also Chanel bag serial codes will never comprise of more than 8 numbers, if a bag has a 9 digit code then it’s a fake.
3. Ask for clearer pictures if needed…
Make sure the photos are very clear and detail any flaws the bag might have. It’s hard to find one in absolutely perfect condition. Most common flaws will be just little things that happen over time. Flattening of the quilting, slight scuffs on the corner that kind of thing. Most reputable sellers will be very detailed with their imagery and descriptions and if you have any doubts make sure to ask about flaws and ask for more detailed photos if needed as well.
Here are 3 places I would recommend purchasing Vintage from.
Eurotrash – This store is such a luxury lovers haven. They always have the best pieces. Lots of Vintage but lots of modern preloved as well. Follow them on Instagram as they upload new products daily and will always show details on their Insta story. @eurotrash
Hawk Eye Vintage – Has so many gorgeous vintage goodies on offer. New items are added to both their Facebook and Instagram regularly plus the ladies are super helpful and lovely to deal with. @hawkeyevintage
Farfetch – Has the most impressive range to choose from. You will definately find something you love! They also have an amazing selection of Vintage Chanel jewelry too. @farfetch
I hope some of these shopping tips will help you if you have been thinking about purchasing vintage Chanel. I really love vintage bags as often the quality is even better than some of the pieces being manufactured nowadays. Plus it also means you will be carrying around something much more unique than everyone else!
Coola Dawn control Classic Primer SPF30 & Coola Sunscreen Spray Guava and Mango SPF50
I’m so happy to have discovered this gorgeous suncare range. What’s really amazing about Coola is that they’re cruelty-free, vegan and organic but their products are also such beautiful quality.
This Coola Makeup Primer is so genius! Most of you probably know by now that I swear by sunblock on the daily. So a primer with an spf is the perfect step to add to my summer morning beauty routine. Most foundations and bb/cc creams do not provide enough spf for every day and I dont like purchasing moisturisers with an added spf as i like to use the same moisturiser day and night so having a primer with an spf is a real game changer. This primer smells so gorgeous and the texture is like silk. It’s so lightweight and provides a veil of skin smoothing perfection. Blurring fine lines and pores making foundation go on like a dream and last all day when the weather heats up.
The sunscreen spray is also a must for this Summer. Again it smells incredible! Alba wants to constantly sniff my arm when wearing this which is the cutest thing ever. Not greasy in anyway and having a spray bottle makes it so easy to apply and insures you can cover all areas of your body really quickly. Will be packing this in our beach bag but also to take in my bag when we are heading out to the park or the outdoor playgrounds.

Mecca Cosmetica Living lab Beauty Lip Balm
This is a birthday edition of Meccas best selling lip balm. In a new limited edition peachy shade. Formulated with vitamin E it really helps to hydrate your lips. I received this lip balm in my level one beauty box which was a nice little treat. It doesnt tint my lips but does provide them with a beautiful glossy sheen. Will be keeping this little beauty in my handbag.
Eyeko London Me and My Shadow Liner in Bronze
This chubby eye pencil from Eyeko is really beautiful. It goes on so smoothly and is easily bendable with an eye shader brush or looks equally amazing smudged out with your finger. It has really good lasting power and this bronze shade really makes my blue eyes pop! It’s a one step eye makeup look, that’s so easy for me to quickly apply on days when I’m rushing out the door with Alba.
Chantecaille Liquid Lumiere in Brilliance
This multipurpose cream delivers the most beautiful, summer glow. It instantly illuminates skin, whilst over time it also delivers anti-aging benefits due to its ingredients such as bamboo and pea extract which have been said to boost your skin’s collagen and hyaluronic acid production. I’ve been adding this illuminating cream to either my moisturiser or foundation and it gives such a beautiful radiance to my skin. I have also been wearing this on it’s own for a really quick, hydrated, glowy look. Being a busy mama I really love a good multipurpose product and this one also doubles as a highlighter, I just dab it onto the high points of my face and sometimes even sweep this onto my lids for a glossy, glowy eye look.
Osmosis Polish and Osmosis Clear Plus
I have been using these products non stop since I got them. Polish is actually an old favourite of mine. I use this 1-2 times per week. Before I hop into the shower I apply a thin layer over my face and neck, avoiding the eye area let it sit for a few minutes before jumping into the shower and letting the steam work it in a little more. I massage in into my skin before rinsing off. The effects are smoother clearer skin without irritating my skin too much like some of the more grainy scrubs can.
Clear plus I use a few times daily. This product is seriously amazing! Morning and night I use it to work my serum into my skin and then throughout the day I also use it to refresh my makeup and keep my dry skin hydrated.

Estee Lauder Advanced night repair eye concentrate matrix
I’ve had a slight obsession for eye creams since I turned 25. It was then that I started noticing a few signs of aging. Since then I have tried so many eye creams, from low end supermarket brands to top of the line, luxury skincare brands. My eye concerns are mainly dehydration and fine lines with a small amount of darkness. What I want from an eye cream is instant hydration and plumpness and overtime delivering all the goodness to help prevent further fine lines. This Estée Lauder one claims to fit the bill. It has a creamy, lotion texture that instantly hydrates my under eye area and it absorbs quickly which makes it an ideal base for my makeup. It comes with a built in massage applicator with a stopper that conveniently prevents you from getting too much product. I gently roll the applicator under each eye a few times starting from the inner corner out before gently patting it into my skin with my ring finger. So far after using day and night for a few weeks I have really liked the results. It definitely provides lots of moisture and makes my undereye area instantly feel plumper, but probably need to wait another month to really see the full benefits from this eye cream. Will keep you posted.
